Please join us on Thursday 9 May 2024 at 9am (GMT) in Room 1-2-3, Gallery 11 of the Lloyd’s building for a presentation on Racing Vessels by Dominque Breton of Lloyd’s Agent Nantes (Sedgwick).
Dominique will introduce Sedgwick Nantes and their experience in dealing with racing vessels. The presentation will look at the construction and stability basics of racing vessels, the types of casualties that these vessels are prone to, how damage assessments are carried out and a review of recent cases Sedgwick Nantes have been involved in.
From loading condition surveys to discharging inspections, damage assessments and protective measures, this presentation will provide a full picture of the technical aspects of this niche sector.
Breakfast, kindly provided by Lloyd’s Agency Network will be available from 9am. The presentation will commence at 9:30am and last approximately one hour.
Speaker: Dominque Breton, Marine Surveyor, Sedgwick Nantes
Dominique has 25 years of experience as a marine surveyor.
After 10 years as a deck officer and engineer on board various navy and merchant vessels, Dominique joined the marine branch of a Dutch survey company. Dominique has been working with Sedgwick Nantes since 2018 and has been part of the Lloyd’s Agency Network for over 20 years.
